Dix Park, Raleigh’s nascent central park, is always a great place to spend a day. With 308 acres and over 80 buildings, the park has already hosted impromptu sledding days, outdoor movies, concerts and even a derby-car race. The city has announced a new summer event that will focus on the sunflowers planted throughout the park. Sun Fest will take place on July 14th and will be day-long event with music, activities and vendors.
