We’d love to quote some old song lyric here, but even though you think that title sounds like a song lyric, the google tells us it does not. Nevermind, if you haven’t yet been to SuzAnna’s Antiques in North Raleigh, it’s worth a spring afternoon. Located in a big warehouse, and surrounded by a village of tiny houses also filled with goodies, this place has to be seen to be believed. The entire warehouse is divided into tiny rooms, each stocked by a different vintage vendor. There are rooms devoted to early 20th century crystal, or vintage cowboy boots, or mid-century lamps and tableware. If you are looking for some odd vintage goodie, it will probably be at SuzAnna’s. Two of our favorite vintage vendors, QuirkyGrrrl and Patina South, have their own spaces.
In addition to the great vintage goodies (that I can’t stop bringing home!) this shop is FILLED with amazing decorating ideas. The staff and owners of SuzAnna’s are incredible at creating beautiful vignettes AND using those odd-ball vintage items in new ways. I always leave with a dozen pictures of ideas I can take home to my own collection. Yes, I also usually leave with a dozen new items for my collection, but that’s a whole different thing.
In addition to all the vintage goodness, SuzAnna’s has a great newsletter where one of the owners, Jenny, updates you about their decor projects and new arrivals. It’s one of the few newsletters I read, because I always need something she’s writing about. You can subscribe on their facebook page or here on their blog. The store is owned and run by Jenny and her mom, Susan. This mother-daughter team have great taste and so much fun.
